N.C. Court of Appeals Upholds Unsealing of Search Warrants in Zahra Baker Case

On April 17, 2012 the North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled that a Superior Court Judge acted correctly in 2010 by unsealing several search warrants issued in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of 10-year-old Zahra Baker.  SMVT partner Amanda Martin sought and obtained the order unsealing the warrants on behalf of The Charlotte Observer, The Hickory Daily Record, WRAL-TV and Time-Warner Cable’s “News 14 Carolina.”  To read the Court of Appeals’ opinion, click here:
