Bankruptcy Court Awards SMVT Client Dr. Eric Janis $650,000 in Libel Suit

In December U. S. Bankruptcy Judge Stephani Humrickhouse awarded SMVT client Dr. Eric Janis $650,000 in actual and punitive damages against a former colleague, Dr. Franklin Wefald.  Judge Humrickhouse found that Dr. Wefald libeled Dr. Janis in a 2009 radio broadcast.  To read the Smithfield Herald’s story about the award, click here.
